About the Cobblestone Motel
 We are nestled on three
acres, tucked away in a valley in the Village of Phoenicia, Town
of Shandaken. Established in 1949, the Cobblestone is just two
blocks from Main Street. You'll find a pleasant variety of nicely
appointed theme-decorated accommodations to fill your needs. Also
available are a two bedroom cottage and a three bedroom cottage.
All
standard and mid-size rooms have a full private bathroom, phone,
color cable TV with remote and refrigerator. Efficiencies and
Cottages also contain stove/oven, sink, china, glasses and stemware,
pots and pans, toaster and coffee maker, serving pieces. Even
tea, sugar, sweet-n-low, coffee filters and salt & pepper
are supplied to suit your taste!
All
rooms are a work in progress, always developing their personality.
Your theme choices are: Native America, Asian, Angler's Nook,
Sunflowers, Tropical, Feathered Friends, Ivy & Magnolias,
Sara's Wicker Suite, Field & Stream, Safari Suite, Sata Fe,
Marrakesh and Country Charm. Enjoy a different room each time
you visit!
We
have replaced all carpets, beds, furniture, TV's & appliances.
All bathroom & kitchens have been renewed and remodeled! We
pride ourselves on cleanliness and keeping our accommodations
in the best possible condition!
 No car? No problem. The Trailways Bus
Depot is just two blocks away on Main Street. Pickup available
if scheduled in advance.
Children 17 and under are always free. In season, they also
ski free at Belleayre and Plattekill Mountains!
Our
inground outdoor pool is open June through September. Enjoy our
playground, badminton, or the activity of your choice on our one
acre field for fun! Partake of our gardens and BBQ picnic grove.
Starwatchers can behold the wonder of our exceptionally dark sky
from stargazing loungers. Walk to the Esopus for some fun or relaxation.
Weekend
Bonfire Socials. Check with office for scheduled times. Bring
your musical instruments and a song!
Guided
hikes on the Tanbark Trail, trailhead is just a few blocks from
our driveway. The Stony Clove Creek is at the end of our property
and lulls us 24 hours a day with it's comforting song. Deer, Bear
and wildlife abound.
